What is ASDA District 8?
“ASDA District 8 is one of thirteen districts across the United States divides dental schools into regions based on geographic location. The goal of the district-system is to facilitate collaboration, networking, leadership development, advocacy, and progress towards implementing change in the dental profession and to ensure each school’s voice is heard at the national ASDA level! District 8 includes all dental schools in Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin and has its own cabinet composed of students from each of the six schools in our District!”

District 8 Structure
ASDA District 8 leadership consists of students from each of the six schools listed above. The District is led by the Trustee who has a Trustee Team including an Immediate Past Trustee, Secretary, Treasurer, President’s Council (Chapter Presidents from each school) and a Chief of Staff for each of the four committees: Events, Communications, Membership, and Service.
The 2026-2027 District 8 Trustee is Anna Hedges from Iowa. The District Cabinet members help the Trustee brainstorm initiatives for the upcoming year, collaborate with one another to bring new ideas to fruition, and help bridge National ASDA with each individual school’s ASDA chapter.
